Main Scheme

Main Scheme (Two -Tier Cooperatives) forms the base operations of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board. The prime objective of Main Scheme is to increase food production and create self employment opportunities for the rural poor. It started operation May,1970.

Poverty Alleviation Projects/Programmes

BRDB's Poverty Alleviation Projects aim to reduce poverty and create self employment for the rural poor through income generating activities. At present there are 11 Poverty Alleviation projects/programmes in operation in BRDB.

Women's Development Projects

BRDB's Women's Development Projects aim to empower the women in development by creating self employment for them through income generating activities and ensuring poverty reduction. At present there are 4 Women's Development projects/programmes in operation under BRDB.
