Goal
Rural Development with
particular emphasis on poverty reduction and gender development to improve
the life of the vast rural populace. The BRDB seeks to improve the lives
of the vast rural populace – specifically small farmers and the asset-less –
through rural development with a particular emphasis on poverty reduction and
gender equality.
Objectives
 | Accelerate agricultural production through Two-Tier Cooperatives |
| Promote functional cooperatives and informal groups amongst both male and
female rural poor |
| Develop human resources through training, motivation and education |
| Ensure institutional credit for production and poverty reduction |
| Promote rural capital formation through members' shares and savings |
| Create on and off-farm income and employment opportunities |
| Provide diverse marketing avenues for poor producers |
| Promote rural leadership |
